Charting
& the medico-legal record
Charting is the central function of
Recall. Running on a dedicated PC in the operating
theatre / OR, Recall gathers information from
patients in real-time. Physiological values are received
directly from the medical monitors and other devices
attached to the patient, collated into trends and displayed
on screen. Options to add pre-configured
drugs (including dose units and entry method), procedures,
methods or other items to be selected with a single
click.
Following the anaesthesia, Recall
produces a detailed medico-legal
record.

Personalising
Throughout
Recall, you can customise features and ensure
that the system is optimised for you and your working
environment. Individuals can generate protocols and
preferences for personal use or to share with colleagues.
By saving preferences and settings, working practices
and protocols can be quickly and easily shared and retrieved
for use or amendment. Charting preferences can be pre-configured
to save time when in theatre / OR. Preference settings
can be tailored by case type, or to your personal style.
The customised settings can then be selected when Recall
Chart is opened, saving time and increasing accuracy.

Protecting
data
Network issues have the potential to
cause data loss and consequently Recall saves
all case files both locally and centrally for complete
peace of mind. In the absence of a network connection
to the server, Recall allows you continue your
work uninterrupted. Once the network is restored, local
files are automatically copied to the server, ensuring
the latest data is available throughout the hospital
as soon as possible. If a case printout is required
whilst network problems persist, Recall D-Print allows
case files to be saved and printed from any Recall-equipped
workstation with a printer attached. The D-Print module
is a failsafe system which ensures that a printed copy
of a case can be produced immediately, regardless of
the state of the network.
Recall protects valuable hospital
network bandwidth by saving cases to its database only
during periods determined by the administrator, thereby
running as and when is convenient. The case data in
the reports database can then be exploited using leading
database reporting applications such as Crystal Reports
and Cognos Impromptu, allowing specific reports to be
crafted to suit your needs. Alternatively you can develop
local reports with familiar software packages.
